14U Head Coach

Brayden Krous is the head coach of the Valkyries 14U team. With 10 years of competitive hockey experience and 3 years behind the bench, Coach Brayden brings a deep understanding of the game both as a player and a leader. He has competed at a high level, and has developed a strong foundation in skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.

Transitioning into coaching, Coach Brayden is passionate about developing well-rounded athletes—focusing not only on technical skills and on-ice performance, but also on discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence.

Drawing from years of firsthand playing experience, he understands what it takes to grow athletes at every stage of their development.

Founded in 2010, the Youth Sports League (YSL) is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and competitive environment for young athletes to develop their skills and love for the game.

We believe that sports are more than just a game—they teach valuable life lessons about teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership. Our league is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and professional coaches who are committed to the growth of every player.

With over 2,000 active players across 150 teams, YSL is the largest youth sports organization in the county. We offer programs for all skill levels, from recreational beginner leagues to competitive travel teams.
