14U Assistant Coach

Jaxson Hewitt is an assistant coach for the Valkyries 14U team in addition to helping out on the bench for the 16U. Jaxson's hockey foundation started in Mandan ND where he played both youth and high school hockey. His coaching resume includes head coach for the Mandan Hockey club Squirts team, an assistant coach for the Mandan boys high school team, along with coaching Vision Hockey in the offseason. These positions allows him to bring a variety of experience coaching players of all levels and laid the foundation for his coaching career.

Jaxson prides himself on not only coaching the game and its fundamentals, but also coaching teamwork, confidence, and discipline. 

Jaxson has a championship mentality and looks forward to helping our athletes perform at a championship level during practice and games. 

When Jaxson isn’t at the rink, he enjoys golfing and being outdoors, spending most of his time at the lake. Jaxson is a special education para and will be attending school for a degree in education and plans on continuing his coaching career.

Founded in 2010, the Youth Sports League (YSL) is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and competitive environment for young athletes to develop their skills and love for the game.

We believe that sports are more than just a game—they teach valuable life lessons about teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership. Our league is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and professional coaches who are committed to the growth of every player.

With over 2,000 active players across 150 teams, YSL is the largest youth sports organization in the county. We offer programs for all skill levels, from recreational beginner leagues to competitive travel teams.
